barnbones > Snow Geese are a nervous bunch and take to flight for a variety of reasons.
barnbones > A new Cicada beginning to dry his wings in the afternoon sun, the last day of August, 2008.
barnbones > The bees (yes, look closely there are two of them) seem to be Viescent Green Metallic Bees (Agapostemon virescens).  The ID book doesn't indicate them in this region but I couldn't find any others that even looked close to this variety.
